MassageMassage Therapy is a non-invasive and safe way to treat the cause of many painful conditions when performed by a trained and competent professional. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in Kingston, NY who specializes in working closely with my clients in Ulster County, Dutchess County, and throughout the Hudson Valley. I employ various and appropriate massage techniques, stretches, and educational materials to assist my clients in becoming more proactive in promoting their own health and wellbeing. I take great pride in developing a dialog with you and with your body. You can take comfort in the fact that I'll be your therapist when you return, making these dialogs even more valuable. Massage can be used to help treat a multitude of conditions.
I offers three basic massage services.
Medical or Theraputic Massage, focuses specifically on an area of tension or injury to help release spasms and trigger points , loosen "frozen" ligaments, or to help facilitate healing and to reduce scar tissue. Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofacial Release, Assisted Isolated Stretching, and Myoskeletal Release are some of the many modalities used in Theraputic Massage. In addition, client educational materials and personal coaching may be used to increase your self awareness and to help you learn how to avoid re-injury.

Relaxation
Massage is generally lighter, as with Swedish Massage. Stroking, kneading,
rocking, and tapotament (light pummeling) may be employed. This type of
massage is great for reducing stress and anxiety levels, for improving
circulation of the blood and lymph, assisting in immune system functioning,
increasing energy flow, and enhancing tissue elasticity and flexibility.
Hot
Stone Massage combines heated Basalt stones and massage to create the
ultimate relaxation experience. This form of massage provides the benefits
of deep heat both with strategically placed stones and through the use
of the stones in the massage itself. Patients often comment that they feel
like they are floating or melting into the table.
