Welcome to New Awakenings Massage

I’m Pamela Marshall, Licensed New York State Massage Therapist.  I offer those in Kingston, Ulster County, Dutchess County, and nearby towns in the Hudson Valley a unique combination of products and services to help you look, feel, and actually BE healthier.

I work closely with my clients using various massage modalities and techniques, stretches, and educational materials which enables the client to become more proactive in taking charge of their health and well-being.

Massage is one of the oldest healing modalities in the world. There are ancient Chinese records going back as far as 3000 years describing the types and benefits of massage. Hippocrates wrote about the use of various massage techniques for muscle and joint pain. Today, there are over 250 recognized massage techniques. From the well known modalities like Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, to Trigger Point Therapy, Myofacial Release, Muscle Energy Techniques, and the like, to Sports Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, Thai Massage, Cranio Sacral techniques, there is a technique and a therapy to suit everyone.

Massage is best known as a great tool to release the stresses and tensions resulting from everyday living. Tension headaches, back pain, shoulder tension, and general muscle aches and pains are just a small handful of the myriad of symptoms and syndromes that can be relieved by massage and bodywork. Other issues that can be treated include:

  • Carpal Tunnel
  • TMJ
  • Sciatica
  • Irritable Bowel
  • Tendonitis
  • Edema
  • Plantar Facitis
  • Whiplash
  • Headaches
  • Sports Injuries
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Depression
  • Migraines
  • Immunity Suppression
  • Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
  • Constipation
  • Sprains and Strains

Kingston Trust Fund/National Health Insurance Accepted

Sadly, most insurance plans do not cover massage therapy. The cost of a monthly massage is roughly equivalent to the price of a daily espresso, weekly meal at a diner, or one ticket to a Broadway play. It’s simply a matter of priorities. In an effort to make massage even more affordable, I offer attractive pre-pay discounts for 3 or more massages. I will create a superbill for anyone trying to obtain reimbursement or who may be eligible for tax deductions.

Thank you for visiting my website.  I hope you find it informative and educational, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Testimonials

I tried many of the massage therapists in the Hudson Valley over several years. Three years ago I noticed Pamela’s sign on Albany Ave in Kingston and I was really glad I did.

Since then I visit her religiously (twice monthly) and I do not let any other massage therapist touch me. I am hooked…

Pamela is my most trusted health professional. Her techniques never fail to amaze me. She is a genuine, caring, professional massage therapist who has a continually evolving and deep understanding of the human body.
